History

Since 1941 this ceremony has been practiced thrughout Canada and the United States. Today it is customary during the service for the head of the clan to carry a banner bearing the tartan of the clan. the banner or swatch will then belong to the clan and can be used each year for this celebration. The service, held at Jackson United Methodis Church in Jackson, California is open to any who want to join the services and procession in the raising and blessing of the tartan.

After the services please join the congregation and Mother Lode Scots in the fellowship hall for a pot luck luncheon
