Our beloved Sarge and Kilted Candyman
June 23, 1951 - September 24, 2011

The first time you met Chris you felt like you'd known him
a long time, he was one of those guys. He always had
a smile and a friendly greeting, and he was a true friend.

He met his lovely wife, Nona at a Hundred Step Dance fell
truly and deeply in love with her. When he talked about Nona
his face lit up with love, pride and happiness. He is survived by Nona,
his children Chris Jr., Mary, Danny, Sarah and Rebeckah
and their spouses, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is also survived by his parents Lora and Jim Allen, his sister
Susan and family and a number of nieces and nephews.

Chris was passionate about his Scottish heritage.
He was a member of Fair Oaks United Methodist Church,
Mother Lode Scots, Sacramento Caledonian Club,
Shamrock Club, The Sacramento Crotch Rockets and House of Boyd

Chris enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving one tour in Vietnam. He
reenlisted in the 80's and became a sergeant, leading to the nickname
"Sarge".

His hugs, his broad smile, his laughter and his wit will
forever remain a part of our community and there will always
be a special place in our hearts for the Kilted Candyman
